​​​​微軟宣佈已與Bethesda Softworks的母公司ZeniMax Media達成收購的協議，該公司還擁有id Software、Arkane、Tango Gameworks、Alpha Dog等工作室。微軟將獲得《 #上古卷​​​​軸》《 #異塵餘生》《 #德軍總部》《 #毀滅戰士》《 #冤罪殺機》《 #雷神之錘》《 #Prey》《 #星際戰場》等IP所有權。


本次微軟是以75億美元的現金收購了ZeniMax Media，預計在2021財年下半年完成。同時微軟旗下的工作室數量將由15個增長至23個，Bethesda的招牌遊戲很快會加入Xbox Game Pass，《星際戰場》上線後也會在XGP同步推出。
